MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, WMA and also the audio of MP4 or WebM. A 4-minute song takes about 1–2 minutes to be ready.

Each new song you upload counts against your plan's monthly limit (2 on the free plan, 25 on Pro). They renew on the first day of the month. If a song fails to process, it doesn't count. Re-scoring, changing the tuning or regenerating the lyrics don't use up your allowance. Note: deleting a project does not give the allowance back.

On the free plan you can have up to 25 available projects, and those that have gone 90 days without being opened get locked. They are not deleted: their tracks stay saved and reactivate when you move to Pro. If the lock was due to the 25-project cap, it also reactivates by deleting another project you no longer use. Opening a project regularly keeps it from expiring.

No: the tracks and the mix only play inside StemStage. You can download the notation as PDF, MusicXML and MIDI.

Songs are processed one at a time. The Pro plan goes ahead of the free one, and you will see how many are in front of you. If it has gone a long time without moving, write to us with the project name.

If the song has almost no drums (for example an acoustic song) the notation stays empty. Lyrics are looked up by artist and title; if they aren't found, the voice is transcribed and may contain errors: in “Edit lyrics” you can paste the right ones and they get aligned to the voice.

The file you upload is deleted when processing finishes. We keep the results (tracks, notation and lyrics) in your library until you delete them. More details in the privacy policy.

Write to us under the topic “My account, my plan or my data”. We delete the account and all your projects within 30 days. If you only want to remove a project, do it from your library.

Choose the topic “Copyright: remove a work” and give the title and artist of the work and, if you have it, the link or the project name. We remove the content immediately while we review it.
